We the girls of Lighthouse ministries coming from different walks of life, together started the Beacon Bearers on the 8th of September 2019. There was an urge in our hearts to help others experience the Love of God and do the little we could to make a change in the community we live in. We began working towards helping underprivileged individuals who were deprived of basic needs in their lives.
Lately, seeing the current situation around us and the calamities the world has been facing reminded us that the Lord’s coming is at hand and that there are many people out there who are waiting in the valley of decision for God’s touch.
We started a Bible study to help and encourage each other to build our faith and turn our gaze to our Lord Jesus Christ, so that we can go to the ends of the Earth and preach the good news to all generations.
This will fulfill what the Lord has commanded us: ‘I have destined you to become a beacon light for the nations and release salvation to the ends of the earth! – Acts 13:47 TPT
In June 2020 we began having Children and Youth Ministry and God brought us in touch with Children and Youth from different places. We began with having a session each for Children and Youth once a month and then went on to have a Youth Bible study called “Bible with Buddies” every other week.
We currently have a combined “Youth+Kids” session once a month and “Bible with Buddies” session twice a month.
We are truly blessed by how God has been providing for us and ministering to us through His Holy Spirit in this ministry.
We thank God for the wonderful time of fellowship we have with the Children and Youth where we learn more about God’s Word and understand more about the privileges of being His children. We are also thankful for the time of sharing our thoughts, testimonies, prayer points, questions and suggestions that we have.
We are thankful for all our guest speakers and support that we get from Lighthouse Ministries and our Sunday School teachers team. We are thankful for all who keep us in prayer.
We trust that just as the Lord Jesus has led us this far, He will continue to guide us and lead us into a deeper revelation of His Word and Heart by the power of His Holy Spirit as we wholeheartedly seek His face. We pray that united together in spirit and in the love of Christ we may be Beacon Bearers for His glory wherever He leads us and experience the outpouring of His Holy Spirit like never before in these last days. Amen
